Pittsburgh and Allegheny County is among the few major cities in the U.S. with pollution-intensive industry activity that harms the health of people in our region, especially frontline communities. Carnegie Mellon economist Dr. Muller will explain – through his unique, sophisticated modeling – the health and economic damage being inflicted on Mon Valley communities and people, from causing illness to respiratory diseases, cancer and death.
Dr. Muller is the Lester and Judith Lave Professor in Economics, Engineering and Public Policy, Engineering and Public Policy, Tepper School of Business.
