Washington County is one of the most heavily-fracked counties in the state of Pennsylvania. Local residents like Lois Bjornson are fighting the fracking industry because they’ve seen how it is making their children sick. Pa. Health Dept. is currently studying a cluster of Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer that is making children in the county sick. Several Breathe Project organizations help to support these residents including Environmental Health Project and Clean Air Council.
