Community Briefing: Data Centers & Big Oil-What’s the Connection?

We will be joined by UCS senior analysts Laura Peterson and Maria Fernanda Chavez who will present on the intersection of fossil fuel interests, AI, and the energy-intensive data center buildout. They will provide an overview of a new UCS report, Data Center Power Play, using the findings and state policy recommendations for Wisconsin as a case study. They will also discuss parallels between Big Tech and Big Oil’s efforts to shield themselves from legal accountability.
