Allegheny County Clean Air Now (ACCAN)
My first non-profit endeavor was to set up an abuse center for victims of violence in Butler County in the late 70’s. Rails to Trails was organized to begin clearing away the weeds and debris in the 80’s. I was a board member of Observatory Hill, Inc. chairing the Riverview Park Committee and their newsletter were my main focus of this 15214’s efforts to reclaim the older, huge Victorian Homes that had been converted into rental returned to their original design as a single family home. All you have to do is open up your eyes and look around. There is MUCH to do in our world to make it more humane, clean, kind, and safe. “Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Hand . . Make this a Better World If We Can” is the song that I sang at my wedding!
