It’s the first day of spring and Pittsburghers want to open our windows. Unfortunately, the air we’ll be breathing is some of the dirtiest in the country.
Allegheny County is in the worst 2% of the U.S. for cancer risk from industrial air pollution and the week-long string of unhealthy air over the holidays has made our problems as clear as ever.
It’s time to clean up dirty air once and for all, so Pittsburghers can breathe the clean, healthy air we deserve. We’re calling on Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and the Allegheny County Health Department to rein in the industrial air polluters like U.S. Steel who are putting our health at risk.
What: A clean air rally on the first day of spring Where: Downtown Pittsburgh (exact location to be announced soon) When: Thursday, March 19th @ 11:30am
