POPCO Falcon Pipeline Community Meeting
- This event has passed.
Your family’s health and safety may be at risk due to possible construction issues along the Falcon Pipeline! During this public meeting, you have the opportunity to learn more and voice your concerns. We’ve learned that the pipeline may have been constructed with defective corrosion coating protection. Secretary of the PA DEP Patrick McDonnell stated that these issues “pose a possible threat of product release, landslide, or even explosion.”Whistleblowers have bravely spoken out against Shell Pipeline Company and we have recently learned of an ongoing investigation by state and federal agencies that was not known to the public. Journalists from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Allegheny Front, and many more have covered these issues. Dozens of regional groups have asked the state environmental regulators, public utility commissioners, and PHMSA, (the federal agency that oversees the pipeline’s safety) for answers.Where is the accountability? Why isn’t PHMSA providing the public with the information we need to protect our property and most importantly, our families’ health and safety? We’re demanding more transparency. If you live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, or West Virginia and believe that you deserve answers, please join us.
