Our “No Plastic Please” Ambassadors will be introducing the NPP campaign live and in person throughout the entire Squirrel Hill business district.
Training and materials will be supplied at the HUMANE ACTION Pittsburgh meeting on FEB 26 (details on the HAP facebook event page) and after the Allegheny County Council meeting on MAR 5. (See this event on the NPP facebook event page).
On Saturday, MARCH 9th:
1 pm — We will meet for final training and materials at the Carnegie Library on Forbes and Murray. A suggested donation of $5 is much appreciated to help with printing costs.
2-4 pm — We will introduce the NPP campaign to as many restaurant managers and owners as we can, depending on our people power that day. Your job is to introduce the campaign, arrange another 15-20 minute appointment for follow up with the manager/owner and leave materials for them. Easy peasy.
We will regroup at the Library just before 4 pm to report progress details. If all goes well, and we expect it to, we plan to blitz a new neighborhood each month.
NPP Ambassadors agreements must be signed in advance of the event. Looks like 2019 is the year we turn the tide on plastics in Pittsburgh!
